It looks like it took you quite sometime and not the usual 2-3 hours I can spend on a picture (without inking it). I find graphite and charcoal messy and end up having to tape up my fingers so I dont smear it every where

There's actually some odorless paint thinner on the market. But for the tricks I do, water and a stiff brush generally works pretty well.
